Simple Programs is a research and design studio founded by Alessandro Codello, Giacomo Viviani and Riccardo Ben Alì Zinati.
The lab operates at the intersection of computational science and design, building on years of research in theoretical physics, mathematics and complex systems.
At its core is the study of how complexity emerges from simple, elementary rules.
Visual exploration is integral to this research β a means of discovery, rather than mere illustration. Design becomes a process of selection and refinement: identifying structures within new computational spaces and bringing them into material form. Science and design, here, are expressions of the same inquiry.
